I didn’t know these seasoned journalists were such whiny little bitches. They should start a Substack and build it into a successful business and then who knows what may present itself….

Yet no one is standing up. This is part of the capitulation to the Trump regime and the billionaires.

Or, and just bear with me for a second, Bari is not the demon so many seem to think she is. Maybe, just maybe, her supposed heterodoxy is kinda what’s needed in news today. That the staffers of a sinking ship are scared of Bari means they are scared of the wrong thing. She may succeed, she may fail, but what exactly is the current product they are trying to protect?

CBS news and the mainstream media spent almost 20 years since "Hope and Change" creating an alternative reality full of lies and half truths, while covering up "hard news" like the Hunter Biden laptop, Operation Crossfire Hurricane, the list goes on.

The folks at CBS who think she’s just a troll without any news experience are about to find out that they are exactly why she was hired, and that their days at CBS are numbered…

They’re concerned because she’s Jewish and they’re antisemites. FTFY.

Interesting. I’m curious to see where things land with journalism, in general. I think the quoted comment about painting a bedroom rather than smashing it with a sledgehammer pretty much illustrated the fact that traditional news people have no desire to change anything. The veneer of change isn’t change and someone coming onto the scene with new ideas isn’t purely destructive. I hope Weiss has a positive impact, but the establishment news people have to chill and try to make things work. They’ve spent the last twenty years tanking their own credibility, so I don’t know what they are complaining about.

If they know they need a revamp to remain relevant, it's because they are the ones leading them to irrelevance. Why again are we valuing their opinion so much? .

Another concern from some staffers I spoke with was Weiss’s well-known support of Israel. “She isn’t just a supporter of the current Israeli government,” one staffer told me. “She is a filthy Jew herself!"

There, I fixed it for you to show the actual concerns of the staff.

A CBS News staffer actually said this to you?

Aside from the made-up stuff in this comment thread, yes, I spoke with CBS News staffers. And have a pretty good sense of what's going on behind the scenes

I wish a few of those CBS staffers would share their concerns publicly/on record. I get it-- it's easy for me to armchair QB when it's not my career on the line-- but still...

I guess at this point, the best case scenario is either 60 Minutes is left untouched, or it's spun off to another channel or platform.

Sure wish Andy Rooney was here to weigh in on it all...
