Paramount Global’s free, advertising-supported streamer Pluto TV and M6+, French TV company Groupe M6’s new AVOD platform, have signed a strategic commercial and editorial partnership to “scale and expand their free streaming and digital businesses in France.”
Barb Extends Campaign Planning To Netflix, Discovery+ (Advanced-Television)
Barb, the industry’s standard for understanding what people watch, has upgraded its pre-campaign planning tool, Advanced Campaign Hub. This upgrade enables advertisers and media agencies to plan campaigns on a wide range of streaming services that now includes discovery+ and Netflix. Prime Video (including Freevee) has been included in the Advanced Campaign Hub since June.
Eleven Secures Exclusive Ligue 1 Broadcast Rights In Poland (Sportcal)
French soccer’s top-tier Ligue 1 has secured an exclusive media rights partner for the next five seasons in Poland, through a deal with the Eleven Sports international subscription broadcaster through 2028-29. The deal gives Eleven sole rights after the broadcaster shared Ligue 1 coverage with pay-TV’s Canal Plus for the 2020-24 cycle.
DFL Ordered To Restart Bundesliga Rights Auction In Legal Battle With DAZN (Broadband TV News)
German national football association DFL has to re-auction the largest TV rights package in the tender of the domestic Bundesliga rights for the 2025/26 to 2028/29 seasons. An arbitration tribunal has partially upheld the complaint filed by DAZN in April 2024 against the allocation of rights package B to a competitor, thought to be Sky Deutschland. DFL subsequently suspended the TV rights auction until further notice.

In most European countries, the cost of YouTube Premium will rise to €14 per month (around U.S. $15.57 per month), an increase of about €2 ($2.20) from the current price of €12 per month ($13.35 per month). The cost of YouTube Premium Family is also increasing to €26 per month (around U.S. $28 per month), up about €8 ($8.90). Similar price adjustments will also affect users in Sweden and Switzerland, with comparable prices in local currencies. YouTube Premium Family allows YouTube Premium subscribers to share their membership with several others living within the same household.
