Netflix has lifted the lid on a quartet of new movies out of Brazil. The four projects are all in production and the streamer, keen to underscore its contribution to Brazilian cinema and the local production biz, was quick to note they are filming across four Brazilian states.
Channel 4 Streaming Minutes Up 25% In 2024 (Advanced-Television)
Channel 4’s streaming growth continues, with minutes viewed up 25 per cent (to 42 billion) between January and August 2024. In August alone, total viewer minutes grew 11 per cent year on year (to 4.4 billion viewer minutes). Latest Barb data also shows the channel continues to grow its overall audience.

German children’s channel Super RTL will not acquire its competitor Nickelodeon: RTL Deutschland has withdrawn its notification of the project after the Federal German Cartel Office informed RTL and Paramount that it intends to prohibit the transaction.
Prime Video India Renews ‘Call Me Bae’ For Second Season (Deadline)
After ranking as Prime Video India’s top show in the country since its September 6 launch, comedy-drama Call Me Bae has been renewed by the streamer for a second season. Starring Ananya Panday, the Dharmatic Entertainment show has featured among the Top 10 trending titles on Prime Video in more than 50 countries, including the U.S., UK, Canada, Australia, U.A.E., Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, New Zealand and South Africa.
BBFC, Prime Video New Self-Rating Partnership (Advanced-Television)
The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) has announced a new self-rating agreement with Prime Video, building on the existing relationship between the two organisations, which dates back to 2015. This new agreement will allow Prime Video to produce recognised BBFC age ratings internally, making it easier for Prime Video customers to choose the right content for themselves and their families.
