Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) is reportedly in talks with rival UK streaming platforms and TV services to carry its HBO content via the Max streaming brand – casting doubts over its existing exclusive deal with Sky.

Arrest Warrant Issued For Reality TV Star Katie Price Over Missed Court Appearance (Deadline)
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of British reality TV icon Katie Price. The influencer and former glamor model failed to attend a bankruptcy court hearing on Tuesday, despite receiving “very clear warnings” she should appear. Price is known for reality shows such as Katie & Peter and Katie Price: My Crazy Life, for appearing on the fifteenth season of Big Brother UK and as a regular panellist on ITV daytime show Loose Women.
MultiChoice Nigeria Gets Go Ahead For Price Increases (Broadband TV News)
MultiChoice Nigeria is free to introduce price increases after a lawyer was forced to withdraw the case he had brought against the pay-TV platform. In May consumer rights lawyer Festus Onifade brought the case against MultiChoice after planned increases to its DStv and GOtv subscriptions. Onifade argued that MultiChoice had failed to give the enquired one-months’ notice of the changes.

Saran Media has today unveiled two exclusive multi-year media rights deals covering English soccer’s Premier League (EPL) and knockout FA Cup competition, across a range of Eastern European and Central Asian territories. The EPL tie-up, covering the countries of Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, is an extension and runs from 2025-26 through 2027-28.
Qatar’s BeIN & Front Row Renew Pay One Accord In Deal For Up To 300 Movies (Deadline)
Qatari beIN media group and Dubai-based film distributor Front Row Filmed Entertainment have renewed an ongoing first run deal for another three years until 2027. Under the accord, beIN has secured exclusive pay one window rights to up to 300 movie titles for its linear and subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) services across the Middle East and North African region.
Viacom18 Takes DesiPlayTV To Europe And The UK (Indian Television)
Mumbai: IndiaCast Media – part of the Viacom18 group - is playing a big hand in Europe. The syndication and distribution firm has announced the launch of Viacom18’s leading Hindi FAST channel, DesiPlay TV, on Pluto TV in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland and Nordic countries of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. The channel is being made available in Hindi with English subtitles to enable audiences to enjoy the content.

Netflix Commissions Spanish Series Salvador (World Screen)
Netflix has ordered the new drama series Salvador, created by Aitor Gabilondo (El silencio, Entrevías, Patria), from Alea Media. Starring Luis Tosar (Celda 211, Los favoritos de Midas) and Claudia Salas (Élite, Cerdita), it centers on a father who discovers that his daughter belongs to a neo-Nazi group, which he must approach in order to try to rescue her and understand what led her to a group that defends racist, violent and homophobic values, completely opposed to how he raised her.
