Russia’s Russkiy Mir TV Targets 155k Homes In Occupied Ukraine (Digital TV Europe)
Russkiy Mir, the satellite TV service set up at the end of last year to deliver Russian-approved TV channels to the occupied regions of Ukraine, has been given a target of connecting 155,000 homes by the end of this year, according to local reports. Russian deputy prime minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said that installation teams should connect 155,000 homes in what the Russian government describes as Russia’s “new regions” by the end of this year.

Telefonica’s Movistar Peru has announced it has struck a deal with with The Walt Disney Company Latin America to include the streaming services Disney+ and Star+ to its TV offering in Peru at no extra cost. The deal will give Movistar customers will have access to Disney+ and Star+ original content in 4K across the Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic brands.

United Group’s Vivacom has firmly rejected allegations made by its competitors A1 and Yettel in Bulgaria.
It says that “their statements in response to the decision by the Bulgarian Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) to grant clearance for Vivacom to acquire two cable operators, Networx and Telnet, are irresponsible and contain several wildly inaccurate and misleading allegations”.
Prime Video Africa Hires Multichoice Alum Gideon Khobane As Director (TBI Vision)
Amazon Prime Video has hired former MultiChoice exec Gideon Khobane to lead its efforts in Africa. Khobane becomes director of Prime Video Africa and will work across Ned Mitchell’s originals team, Ayanna Ionian’s acquisitions unit and the product division. He will oversee local originals and acquisitions, with a remit that covers sub-Saharan Africa, including South Africa and Nigeria.
