Here is a rundown of the stories that should be on your radar this morning:
’The Crown’ Among TV Shows On Edge Of 'Chaos' As Deadly Asbestos 'Found At Studios' (Daily Mirror)
Asbestos is said to have been discovered in ‘large sections’ of the infamous studios where a number of Britain’s biggest TV shows are made.
The Elstree Studios complex in north-west London is said to have been found to contain the dangerous fibres, which are known to cause cancer.
Strictly Come Dancing will reportedly be unaffected, as it is made in a section of the studio complex which is not affected by the asbestos, but filming is said to have stopped elsewhere while checks are made.
George Stephanopoulos Hopes Hulu ‘Power Trip’ Shakes Up Streaming News (Variety)
In “Power Trip — Those Who Seek Power and Those Who Chase Them,” a new eight-part series set to stream on Hulu starting September 25, Stephanopoulos will serve as an analyst and adviser to a group of seven ambitious young “embed” reporters covering the 2022 midterm elections for ABC News. The show mixes on-the-ground reportage with the sort of mentor-student relationship that plays a central part in popular reality programs that range from “The Voice” to “Restaurant: Impossible.”
SBS & AMC Networks Board ‘Blackport’; HBO Max & Disney+ Pick Up ‘The English’ (TBI Vision)
Topic in the US and Canada, SBS in Australia, AMC Networks International Southern Europe in Spain and Portugal, RTS in Switzerland and TG4 in Ireland have all inked broadcast deals with About Premium Content (APC) for Icelandic drama Blackport.
Set in the 1980s in a small Icelandic fishing village, the story follows a married couple, Harpa and Grimur, who along with their friends build a small fishing empire thanks to the introduction of the fishing quota system in the country. But the struggle for power deeply corrupts the couple, resulting in a feud of jealousy, greed and betrayal.

Incendo And Tubi Work Together On Two New Horror Films (Senal News)
Driven by the success of the genre and consumer demand for themed content, the projects include "Marry F*** Kill", an original film written by Ian Carpenter and Aaron Martin ("Terror Train"), as well as "The Amityville Curse", an adaptation of Hans Holzer’s iconic novel from the successful franchise, scripted by Dennis Heaton ("Motive").
Disney+ Puts Italian True Crime Drama Series Into Production (Deadline)
The four-part series (original title Avetrana – Qui non è Hollywood) is based on the true story of the death Sarah Scazzi and the massive media response. Each 80-minute episode takes point of view of one of the story’s main protagonists — Sarah, Sabrina, Michele and Cosima, who are played by Federica Pala, Giulia Perulli, Paolo De Vita and Vanessa Scalera, respectively.

Despite his feelings, the actor wished Jean-Luc Godard “peace to his soul” . "But it's not someone I appreciate, that I love" , he underlined before admitting to liking Le Mépris "because there is Delerue's music" . Obviously determined to tell the bottom of his thoughts, Gérard Darmon continued: “I did not like the way he treated the Jewish people and Israel. I didn't like this way of reviewing history. That he has his own ideas, that he is pro-Palestinian, that's fine, I'm for it in a certain way too, but not what he said about it. Canal+, RAI Jump On Canadian Drama ‘Audrey’s Back’ (The Hollywood Reporter)
Florence Longpré, who co-wrote the 10-part series, stars as the titular Audrey, a coma patient, put into hospital following an accident on prom night, who suddenly wakes up after a decade and a half and slowly returns to life, learning to talk, to walk and to remember the person she was before. Co-creator Guillaume Lambert calls Audrey’s Back a typical coming-of-age story “just 15 years too late.”
HBO Max Builds ‘The Bridge’ In Hungary (TBI Vision)
HBO Max in Hungary has ordered a local version of Banijay Rights’ format The Bridge, marking the sixth adaptation of the survival reality show.
The series, which requires contestants to build a 250-metre-long bridge to an island for the chance to win a large cash prize, is being produced locally by Free Monkeys Production.
