Damian Lewis and Guy Pearce-fronted drama series A Spy Among Friends has found a new home in the U.S. following Spectrum's move out of original series. The spy thriller, which is a co-production with UK streamer ITVX, has landed at MGM+, the network formerly known as Epix.
Netflix Reaches Landmark Rights Agreement With Create Denmark (Screen Daily)
After 11 months of negotiations, Netflix and Create Denmark – and the seven creative workers’ unions it represents – have reached an agreement that “includes a guaranteed initial rights payment upon launch on the Netflix service, followed by additional remuneration based on the success of a show.”

Johnny Depp hit Chocolat is to return as a French-language TV series from Miramax TV and Mediawan. The five-time-Academy Award-nominated film’s TV adaptation will be shot in French and set in a small town in modern-day France, with Mediawan-owned Atlantique Productions producing with Miramax.
Netflix Continues To Dominate S. Korean Streaming Market With Original Content (Korea Bizwire)
The Korea Information Society Development Institute reported that Netflix accounted for 44 percent of total viewing time among five major streaming services between December 2021 and April 2022, followed by Wavve (27.3 percent), Tving (22.4 percent), Watcha (3.7 percent) and Disney+ (2.6 percent).
Wavve, Tving and Watcha are local over-the-top (OTT) services.
AMC Networks CEO Christina Spade Abruptly Exits (Variety)
Christina Spade, who became chief executive of AMC Networks less than three months ago, has abruptly stepped down from the job.
In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, AMC said that Spade was terminated “without ’cause’ or resignation for ‘good reason’ basis,” and that she would receive “severance benefits payable in accordance with the terms of her employment agreement.”
