Too Much TV: Your TV Talking Points For Tuesday, September 24th, 2019
Here's everything you need to know about the world of television for Monday, September 23rd, 2019. I'm writing this from the Twin Cities, where AllYourScreens HQ is running on coffee....lots of coffee.
Here's a rundown of the crazy amount of television and streaming stuff premiering today:
1) Black-ish Season Six Premiere (ABC)

2) Bless This Mess Season Two Premiere (ABC)

3) Diego Maradona (HBO)
"Diego Maradona" spotlights the life of the legendary footballer, who enthralled onlookers across the globe, inspired a generation of Neapolitans and incited controversy. In addition to Maradona’s video archives and personal photos, the film utilizes decades-old news footage and interviews with historians and journalists for this definitive documentary portrait. Maradona arrived in Naples on July 5, 1984, for a world-record fee. The world’s most celebrated football icon, and the most passionate -- but dangerous -- city in Europe were a perfect match for each other. For seven years, all hell broke loose. On the pitch, Maradona was a genius. Off the pitch, he was treated like a god. The charismatic Argentine loved a fight against the odds and led Napoli to its first league title. But there was a price. Maradona could do as he pleased while performing miracles on the field, but as time passed, darker days closed in. This the story of his life, the wild and unforgettable story of an unrivalled talent. He was a rebel, cheat, hero and god. Diego Maradona is a tale of glory, despair and betrayal, of corruption and, ultimately, of redemption.
4) Empire Season Six Premiere (Fox)
In the episode entitled "Got On My Knees To Pray," while Lucious is still on the run, Cookie confronts Damon about why he lied to her. Andre, who is dealing with his own personal trauma, is suddenly forced to grapple with an unforeseen family complication. Meanwhile, Becky and Giselle try to get the star power they need out of their first Bossy Media artist and Tiana tries to help Devon find his sound.
5) Emergence Series Premiere (ABC)
Beyond explanation … beyond understanding … lies the truth. This character-driven genre thriller follows a police chief who takes in a young child she finds near the site of a mysterious accident who has no memory of what has happened. The investigation draws her into a conspiracy larger than she ever imagined, and the child’s identity is at the center of it all
