"It's not Captain America that's dying, but America that's dying," reads the title of an essay on an online forum analysing the movie's lack of appeal in China.
The author goes on to argue: "In reality, the US does not have superheroes and the US is not a peace-loving, peace-defending beacon for humanity."
One cinema in Sichuan province reportedly decided to hold off screenings of Captain America 4 in its theatres "in order to support Ne Zha 2".
No, thanks for sharing it. I don't think Hollywood has reckoned with the world's attitude has changed towards America in the past few weeks. We just assume things will stay the way they always have and I think it's going to be a hard lesson for people to accept.
It's a strange thing. I watched him maybe 25 years ago when I was doing financial news and he was always super conservative. But yeah, he's as MAGA as someone can be and still be on CNBC regularly. But he's got a big following on Wall Street.
It's actually been pretty funny to watch him process things this week. He can't bring himself to criticize Trump by name, but he dances around it a lot.

How does Kiernan keep his job on CNBC? The guy is difficult to watch and his comments are so right-wing and ignorant as to be laughable.

He's a long way from Mark Haines, who was delightful. Love to know how Joe got the job..
