As someone who generally reads all your updates from the week on a Friday evening, I've never felt any crankiness, but certainly a much appreciated 'let's be sensible about this' vibe that cuts through the noise of the constant stream of urgent, "official" proclamations coming from most other reporting on the industry (You nailed it with "Or things are framed in a way that reporters know will stoke the viral traffic fires because they are writing something they know their readers want to believe." in my opinion.)
